The voluntary advocacy service is the provide an opportunity for 1-1 support where required when being Deaf or hard of hearing is preventing communication to take place. For example you may need support communicating with a council department around council tax or other services. It could be a utility provider or simply understanding where to go in order to secure much needed information.
